Alpha Gamma Delta was officially founded on
May 30, 1904
1904
Five organizational meetings were held in May during which the name and
first Badge design were selected.
Official Founding: May 30. Badges worn for the first time; colors of red,
buff and green chosen; first Fraternity songs presented and sung.
The Epsilon Pi motto, a pledge pin design and the present Badge design
were adopted
1906
Skiouros made its first appearance as a mascot with the installation of
Gamma Chapter at Wesleyan University, Middletown Connecticut.
1909
With the installation of Iota Chapter, University of Washington, the
Fraternity spanned the continent.
First issue of the Alpha Gamma Delta Quarterly
was published.
1936
International Reunion Day established as third Saturday in April,
replacing Founders Day which had been celebrated traditionally on May 30.
1965
International Headquarters moved to Indianapolis, Indiana.
1967
Chapter Consultant program began.

1979
Diamond Anniversary Convention.
Juvenile Diabetes Foundation approved as the Fraternity philanthropy.
1983
Junior Circle program and Rose Sisters program established as part of the
alumnae organization.
1990
Founders Memorial Foundation name changed to Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation.
The Chapter Consultant name changed to Leadership Consultant.
1991
Grand Council name changed to International Council.
1996
"See Through the Haze: To a Clearer Purpose" anti-hazing program
introduced.
